[moosdohmen] x Press any Key - BURNED DUBS

Camembert Électrique presents BURNED DUBS, the first collaboration between Dutch musicians [moosdohmen] (Maurice Dohmen) and Press any Key (Jan-Willem van den Pol).

Recorded during several improvisation sessions in Moos’s studio in Utrecht, BURNED DUBS brings together six tracks where dark drones, deep bass and dub rhythms meet in a hypnotic and immersive sound space.

The two artists met within the Dutch modular synthesizer scene. Moos has been exploring dub and ambient music for several years, while Jan-Willem comes from a darker world of drone and ambient music. Their meeting gave birth to a sound that is both raw and deep, constantly shifting and evolving.

The album was created entirely with hardware, without computers, through live manipulation and improvisation. Make Noise Strega, Chase Bliss Mood MKII, Elektron Syntakt, Erica Synths Zen Delay, Eurorack and Torso S-4 all contribute to its organic and unpredictable sonic texture.

BURNED DUBS is a dive into dub, ambient and drone, born in the studio but also made to be taken further on stage.
