A GIFT WITHOUT NAME
One winter morning, a gift appears.
There is no name, no card, no address. No one knows who left it, who it was intended for, or how long it has been waiting there.
Found on a snow-covered doorstep, forgotten in an attic, hidden at the back of a wardrobe, or abandoned beneath the glow of a streetlight, this silent object seems to carry a story of which only fragments remain.
What does it contain?
A childhood memory thought to be lost.
A music box that plays on its own.
A letter that was never opened.
A toy capable of remembering.
A relic from another time.
A strange machine.
A simple object charged with an inexplicable presence.
For this December open call, Camembert Électrique invites artists to imagine A GIFT WITHOUT NAME through sound.
Ambient, drone, experimental electronics, field recordings, musique concrète, noise, hauntology, acousmatic compositions, outsider folk, or sonic narratives: all approaches are welcome.
This gift has no name.
Give it a life of its own through sound.
