Seals From Laos - life, love & Art

A live session in three parts, recorded on a night like any other.

With life. love & Art, Polish experimental music project SEALS FROM LAOS returns to Camembert Électrique with a deeply personal recording. Captured live in Marek Becherka’s studio during the night of April 10–11, the session marks his 50th birthday. While birthdays in Poland are often occasions for large gatherings, food, drink and dancing, Marek chose a different way to spend the night: alone in his studio, immersed in his own world, making music.

Structured in three parts, life. love & Art is pure SEALS FROM LAOS. Hypnotic loops, persistent repetitions, raw textures and sonic structures that fold back in on themselves create an immersive experience somewhere between experimentation, atmosphere and inner disorientation. Familiar elements and tried-and-tested formulas are deliberately revisited, not in search of musical novelty, but as part of a simple artistic statement: this particular day changes nothing.

There is something quietly radical in that gesture. No grand celebration, no need to mark the occasion with anything extraordinary. Just a live recording, a night spent doing what feels right, and music allowed to unfold on its own terms.
